The challenge

Registration, programme lists, scoring, and publishing often sit in separate files. During a live event, every delay affects organisers, judges, and the audience.

The solution

One database-driven workflow for participant management, judge valuation, chest numbers, live results, reports, QR access, and stage-ready award reveals.

My contribution

Product planning with organisers, interface design, full-stack development, database integration, responsive implementation, testing, version control, and deployment.

Daffodils Islamic Preschool

A clear, welcoming digital front door for parents.

Designed and developed the preschool’s public website with admissions, school information, gallery, and contact journeys. The interface adapts carefully from desktop to mobile without losing the school’s identity.

UNIVERSITY FINAL-YEAR PROJECT · EXPERIMENTAL PROTOTYPE

Perfume Smell Detection & Base Note Identification

Hardware, software, and structured sensor data in one proof of concept.

An MQ-5 sensor and Arduino Uno capture vapour-response readings. A Python desktop application receives the serial data, presents the live reading, and records timestamped observations for comparison.

System flow

Perfume sample → MQ-5 sensor → Arduino Uno → USB serial communication → Python interface → timestamped CSV record.

What I learned

The project combined electronics, embedded programming, serial communication, desktop GUI development, and data acquisition in one working prototype.

Technical limitation

This is an experimental proof of concept, not a laboratory analyser. A single MQ-5 sensor cannot definitively identify a perfume’s exact composition or base note.
